BrowserMob's monitoring service uses real web browsers to simulate a user interacting with your website, despite being similarly priced to simplistic "ping" style monitoring services that only check individual URLs.
The use of real browsers allows you to check that individual objects are responding, but also to functionally verify that your website is working from end-to-end. This includes ensuring that 3rd party components such as advertisements, gadgets, analytics, and Content Delivery Networks don't adversely affect your website.
