Monsanto previously used massive spreadsheets to collect data for clients and to generate reports. These spreadsheets required all employees to be in their office to access information. This did not provide an optimal solution for their staff as they and their clients wished to have access to this information anytime and anywhere they wished. We worked with Monsanto to learn how their business operated and created a secure online application to streamline their production/sales teams. This application more importantly provided a new method for clients to access their account information without having to call a sales representative.

THIS PROJECT WAS DIVIDED INTO TWO STAGES:

• Creation of website that will manage user types and allow different functionality for each.
  • As administrators, the site will allow you to input, modify and view data as well as create contracts and user accounts.
  • This site will support internal users and allow them to view all data but not be able to add or modify anything.
  • This site will also support buyers to view only information pertaining to their accounts.
• Ability for all users to print information in a clean format.
• Ability for the input fields to auto complete as user enters data.
• Verify product codes match up with correct Male/Female germination numbers.
• Ability for administrator to add notes and reminders for contracts.

• Creation of new database and website functionality to integrate data from shipping supplier.
• Ability for production fields to have pictures uploaded by growers.
• Ability for production field owners to view information and statistics.
